B.S.E.: Mechanical & Armaments Engineering, IME - Instituto Militar de Engenharia, Brazil, 1986. Ph.D.: Aerospace Engineering, The University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, USA, 1995. Joined UFF, Brazil's Federal "Fluminense" University as an adjunct professor of Applied Math in 2005. Three years later, was granted transfer to the Dept. Mechanical Engineering, where, in 2009, he presided over the committee for creation of the organic graduate program in Mechl. Engineering. In 2013 was transferred to UFABC, the Federal University of the ABC. There, he is Associate Professor of Aerospace Engineering and Applied Mathematics, with a special research focus on reentry trajectories and dynamics & stability of nonautonomous systems.
